Interview | Barry Jenkins & Stephan James on the Oscar winning If Beale Street Could Talk

I was so honoured to sit down with the Academy Award winning director Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) and one of the stars of his latest film If Beale Street Could Talk, Stephan James. Barry and I (now that sounds like a cool title for a film, right!), spoke about the weight of adapting James Baldwin, who wrote the original novel, and his “bucket list” of stories he wants to tell. Stephan touched on building chemistry with co-star Kiki Layne and the myths surrounding black masculinity. Watch both interviews below.
