My YangaTV feature about the fight for on-screen diversity

YangaTV is a new entertainment destination giving a voice to African’s thriving diaspora. It aims to showcase Africa’s energy with content featuring its best entertainers, comedians and musicians as well as positive and inspirational stories to celebrate the cultural richness and pride of the continent.

They reached out to me to talk about why I think diversity in television and film is super-important. We talk about my career so far, how I got my break in media and why success stories such as Girls Trip are key messages to the industry that there’s more than one way to tell the story of the black experience.
